Spread rate setting
Dependent on the specification of the spreader, the spread rate is set via the on-board computer or manually via
the shutter slide on the machine. Refer to the corresponding operator manual for the detailed procedure.
Before starting spreading, the spread rate factor for the fertilizer concerned should be entered into the on-board
computer as a first approximation for the calibration factor. The spread rate factor can be taken from the setting
chart.
3
Checking the spread rate
The spread rate can be checked by means of the included calibration bucket when the spreader is stationary or by
traveling over a certain measured distance. Refer to the operator manual for the detailed procedure.
If the fertilizer spreader is equipped with a weighing system, the spread rate can also be checked during operation.
Refer to the operator manual of the on-board computer for the detailed procedure.

Twin disc spreaders
4.1
Spreading discs
With a twin disc spreader from
AMAZONE
it is possible to spread various working widths with only one set of
spreading discs. Refer to the setting chart, the Internet database or the recommended adjustments for information
about which spreading disc is required for which working width.
4.2
Adjusting the working width
Lateral distribution is influenced by the spreading properties of the fertilizer used. The most important
characteristics which influence the spreading properties are granule size, bulk density, surface quality and
moisture. Dependent on the type of fertilizer used the spreading discs permit adjustment of various working widths.
The spreading vanes can be swivelled around a pivot point (Fig. 1) to permit adjustment for the different working
widths. The adjustments are read at position 1 or 2
