2.16.3 Electrical system
•
When working on the electrical system, always disconnect the
battery (negative terminal).
•
Only use the prescribed fuses. If the rating of the fuses used is
too high this may damage the electrical system beyond repair –
danger of fire
•
Make sure the battery is connected correctly - connect the posi-
tive terminal before the negative terminal! When disconnecting,
disconnect the negative terminal before the positive terminal!
•
Always fit the cover provided on the positive terminal of the battery.
If a ground fault occurs, this may cause an explosion
•
Risk of explosion: avoid sparking or the presence of naked
flames in the vicinity of the battery.
