Starting-up the milling machine
5.3.1
Machine

Switch the milling machine on via the main
switch.
The milling machine runs through an automatic
sequence via the screen for entering the basic
settings:

Basic settings network connection
▪
Referencing axis system
▪
Filling tank and flushing coolant circuit
▪
Inserting swarf sieve
▪
Inserting tools
▷
Follow the instructions on the screen.
All settings can also be entered or changed later
via the menu.

Symbols on the buttons
WARNING:
Danger from shavings/chips or tool fragments
being thrown from the machine!

Make sure that the door of the milling
machine is always closed during processing!
The water for the coolant/lubricant must
have drinking-water quality. The optimal
hardness range is between 10 - 20
°

(corresponds to 1.8 - 3.6 mmol total hard-
ness per litre). If the hardness is far
beyond this range, we recommend the
addition of distilled water. For grinding
glass-ceramic materials, it is generally rec-
ommended to use distilled water.
