7. Operation
The TP115-110 requires only one adjustment be made for optimal
performance. The adjustment is video equalization for long cable lengths
7.1 Video Equalization
Video equalization is provided to fine-tune the displayed image on the
remote display. Typically, the equalization will be set to near
minimum for short cable runs and near maximum equalization for the
longest runs.
The equalization adjustment on the TP115-110 works together with
the TP115-111 to provide equalization for maximum cable lengths.
For best results, start adjustments with both units and minimum.
Make the adjustments slowly as some monitor take a few seconds to
respond to changes in the equalization setting.
8. Troubleshooting Guide
We have carefully tested and have found no problems in the supplied
TP115-110. However, we would like to offer suggestions for the following:
8.1 No Display
Cause 1:
The source has a problem.
Solution: Check the source and make sure there is a signal present and
all source connections are correct. If the source is working and
there is still no display, see Cause 2.
Cause 2:
The path has a problem.
Solution: Connect the transmitter directly to the receiver using a short
CAT-5 patch cable. If the image is good, there is a problem
with the cable. Otherwise, see Cause 3.
Cause 3:
Cable connections are incorrect.
Solution: Make sure the cables are properly connected. Also, make sure
that the continuity and wiring are good. If there is still no
display present, see Cause 4.
Cause 4:
Video equalization required.
Solution: Adjust the Video Equalization on the TP115-110. Long cable
runs may require adjustment on both the TP115-110 and
TP115-111.
Cause 5:
The display has a problem.
Solution: Make sure the display is powered and is turned on. If there is
still no display, please call ALTINEX at (714) 990-2300.
8.2 No Sound
Cause 1:
The source has a problem.
Solution: Check the source and make sure that there is a signal present
and all source connections are correct. If the source is working
and there is still no sound, see Cause 2.
Cause 2:
The volume is too low.
Solution: Increase the gain at the source toward maximum. If there is
still no sound present, see Cause 3.
Cause 3:
Cable connections are incorrect.
Solution: Make sure that cables are properly connected. Also, make sure
that the continuity and wiring are good. If there is still no
sound, see Cause 4.
Cause 4:
The receiving device has a problem.
Solution: Make sure the receiving device is powered and is turned on. If
there is still no sound, please call ALTINEX at (714) 990 2300.
