8 ASSEMBLY OF YOUR HOOD
This is a suggested installation. All kitchens are
different. If you are unsure, please consult a
specialist.
1. Locate the installation template as provided.
2. Fix the template to the area intended for the hood
to be mounted. Be mindful of what is behind as
this design of hood needs to be recessed
3. Mark the fixing points A B C D and the cut out
where necessary
4. Drill a 3mm pilot hole at marked points A B C D
5. Cut out the cavity for the hood as necessary
(if you are unsure please consult a specialist)
6. Fix the frame in place
7. Screw in the plastic flue adaptor assembly to the
exhaust exit on the top of the hood (Fig. 11)
a. Various flue and ducting products are
available, you will need to adapt your
installation depending on the type utilised.
b. Depending on your kitchen units, you may
need to fix the ducting to the hood before
lifting into place (Fig. 12)
c. Ensure the ducting joints are secure
d. Ensure the ducting is as direct as possible for
efficiency. If you are using flexible flue, make it
as direct as possible
8. Lift and fix the hood assembly into place,
securing with the screws (Fig. 13 & 14).
Since twists and bends in the aluminium pipe
will lead to reduction in the air suction power,
avoid using twists and bends as much as
possible.
