THE RECOMMENDED CONFIGURATION
The Surefire 512 and its associated battery bank should be near to one
another. However liquid batteries should not be located in living quarters
or near sources of heat e.g. the pellet stove. Ideally the back up system with
its associated battery should be installed in a dry garage, crawl space or
basement. The 120 VAC utility power should be transmitted to the pellet
stove through electrical cabling or extension cords which are deemed
appropriate by the regional electrical code. Other recommendations for the
installation location are listed in section 6.2 of this manual.
