Troubleshooting
ISSUE
PROBLEM/CAUSE
Skateboard controller isn’t
turned on.
Turn on.
Recharge the skateboard until
the light turns green. If light stays
red, batteries are dead and cannot
be recharged, or the charger is
broken and needs to be replaced.
Batteries are not properly installed
or are out of power on remote.
Reinstall or change batteries.
Wait a few seconds and apply
trigger throttle.
Change or recharge battery.
Contact Altered Service
Department.
Replace charger.
Adjust the belt, fasten screw and
nut, and adjust back nut.

Bad battery cell(s) or loose
connection. Check connections or
replace bad battery cells.
Recharge the battery. (Batteries
may need replacement after 80-
150 recharge cycles.)
Replace with 4 AAA batteries.
If unit does not turn off after
replacement, double check
battery orientation.
No beep heard when turning
on controller : LED does not
light.
Overheat / overload
protection of motor, usually
due to starting on an incline.
Low voltage protection of
controller.
Reset button has tripped.
The reset button (on the left side of
the battery box) will automatically
trip and turn off the power if the
motor is overloaded.
Damaged remote from fall or
abuse.
No power, or charger has
overheated or charger does
not light.
Belt is loose or over- flexed.
Drive belt is broken.
Board is not charged, but
charger always reads “green”
when plugged in.
Bearing is Damaged.
Replace Bearing.
Low battery on board.
(Beep...Beep...Beep)
Low battery on remote.
(BeepBeep...BeepBeep)
Turn board and remote off. Turn
board on, turn remote on, wait 5
seconds to establish connection.
If board still does not link, re-“pair”
the units according to instructions

Skateboard
does not
start up.
Skateboard
stops

after running
for sometime.

power while
riding or
