Defeating the Surround and
Equalization Functions

SURROUND
Press the A. PROC button on the Head unit
or Remote Controller to select the surround
or equalizer mode you wish to defeat
(bypass).
Press the DEFEAT button on the Head unit
or on the Remote Controller during the
Surround or Equalizer mode to defeat
(bypass) the surround and equalization
functions.
The display shows "DEFEAT."

Press the DEFEAT button again to return to
the surround/equalizer mode.
The display shows "DEF. OFF" for a few
seconds and returns to the previous display.
