IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be
followed, including the following:
1.
Read all instructions carefully.
2.
This appliance may only be connected to the same main voltage as shown on the rating
plate.
3.
To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not immerse or rinse housing, cord or plug in
water or other liquid.
4.
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used near children.
5.
Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts and before
cleaning.
6.
Do not contact any moving parts while the appliance is operating.
7.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its authorized
service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid hazard & damage to the unit.
8.
The use of attachment or accessories which are not supplied with the appliance are not
recommended. This could result in electrical shock or injury or permanent damage to the
appliance.
9.
Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surface.
10.
Do not use the appliance for other than intended household use.
11.
Switch off the appliance before changing accessories or approaching parts, which move in
use.
12.
The appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons without
supervision. Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
This appliance is for household use and may be plugged into any AC electrical outlet (ordinary
household current). Do not use any other electrical outlet.
Using Your Griddle
1.
Before first use, see Cleaning Instruction and Hints For Care and use of non-stick surface.
2.
Turn probe to OFF position and attach securely in place.
3.
Condition the non-stick surface with vegetable shortening cooking oil before heating. If
necessary, remove excess oil with paper towel. Plug into outlet. Align temperature control
knob with pointer.
4.
The unit is preheated when the light on the connector goes off. The light will light again
during use indicating the proper temperature is maintained.
5.
When finished cooking, turn probe OFF, unplug and cool before cleaning.
CAUTION: Grill surfaces are hot during use.

Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow cooling before putting on or
taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.

Always attach connector to griddle before plugging cord into wall outlet. To disconnect,
turn temperature control knob to “OFF”, then remove plug from wall outlet.
•
Do not place griddle on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
•
Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot
liquids.
•
Use extreme caution when disposing of hot grease.
