Connections
-
2 reader (Wiegand) inputs with power supply and connections for LED indication and
buzzer. (Equipped with a polyfuse 100mA)
-
2 Request to Exit (RTE) inputs (1 per door). If this input is activated, the corresponding door
control (relay) will be activated for the set time.
-
2 Door position inputs (1 per door). For details see programming manual UNii control
panel.
-
2 Relay outputs (1 per door) for electric door strike.
-
UNii RS485 bus in and out connection. (The door controller dos does not supply a 12VDC
power supply to the outgoing RS-485 bus !).
-
OSDP bus connection (for future use)
-
Output expander connector for optional connection of 4 extra relays (art.nr. 004666) or O.C.
outputs (art.nr. 004668).
-
Input expander connector for connecting 8 hardwired inputs (art.nr. 004664). Inputs are
normal inputs on the UNii control panel. These inputs are NOT! allowed to be part of a
certified installation.
-
Connection fort amper switch in the metal enclosure.
Power supply
The door controller is supplied in a 12VDC or 24VDC version, check before connecting electric door
strikes whether you have the correct version.
The outgoing power supply (AUX) socket (No. 12) is used to power an electric door strike.
The door reader (Wiegand) connections (no. 2 and 5) are equipped with a 12VDC power supply
terminal for powering the door readers.
In the 12V version, 1.5A is available externally for connecting door readers, door strikes, etc.
In the 24V version, 800mA is available externally for connecting door readers, door strikes, etc.
When using a 24V version, two 12V lead acid batteries must be connected in series using the
supplied linking cable.
The 12VDC power supply terminal in the RS485 IN and OUT (No. 7 and 8) are interconnected, so
the door controller does NOT! provide additional power supply for the outgoing RS485 bus and
connected components.
Backup power supply
The metal housing has space for 1 12V-7Ah or 12V-12Ah lead battery or 2 12V-3.2Ah (with 24V
version).
Protection against discharge
If the mains voltage stays away too long and the battery voltage becomes too low (below
10.1VDC), the pcb board will switch itself off completely. You can only restart and charge the
battery if the mains voltage is restored. The voltage of the recommended 12Ah Yuasa battery is
9.7VDC with a deep discharge.
Low battery voltage
A low battery voltage is detected when the battery voltage drops below 11.0VDC (SD low voltage).
