INNER BELT INSTALLATION
1. Install new belt by rotating and pushing outward onto the pulleys as shown in
Figure 36.
2. The belt pulley system is self-centering; rotate belt and pulleys together for a few
revolutions by hand.
CAUTION!
Belts cannot be tested until inner and outer flanges and flange bolt are installed to hold the
pulley firmly in place, (otherwise, belt and pulley will fly off of the spindle.)

3. Reinstall belt cover and secure with phillips screw.
4. Replace side cover by carefully pushing it into place and secure with the five phillips
screws.
5. Gently tighten side cover screws to a snug condition, to
prevent screw tabs on side cover from breaking off, as shown
in Figure 37.
6. Reinstall inner and outer flanges and flange bolt to hold the
pulley firmly in place, otherwise belt and pulley will fly off of
spindle
