1. Overview
The POEFE404 is an 8 port Fast Ethernet switch with 4x IEEE 802.3af
compliant 10/100Mbps POE ports and 4 standard ports
The unit is designed in a robust metal casing suitable for use in almost any
environment - Desktop, Rackmount (with add on brackets) or Industrial
applications.
Store-and-Forward switching technology is used to provide the highest level
or reliability and performance for your networking needs.
The POE functionality allows for simplified deployment of IEEE802.3af
compliant POE devices, like VOIP handsets, wireless LAN equipment or
security cameras. Each port can provide up to 15.4Watts of PoE power. The
PoE standard specifies an isolated DC power applied to the network cable to
power remote PoE compliance devices up to a maximum distance of 100
Meters. The power applied to the cable is transparent to non PoE devices.
