Figure 15 shows the maximum extent to which you can cascade these
repeaters. Another way of achieving the same result is to use a dual-port AUI
transceiver and a two-level cascade, as shown in Figure 15.
You can also connect each repeater separately to the backbone, using a four-
port AUI transceiver in place of the dual-port one.
