Section 5 Service Procedures
To reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, explosion, serious injury or death:
• Disconnect electric power to the dryer(s) before servicing.
• Close gas shut-off valve to gas dryer(s) before servicing.
• Never start the dryer(s) with any guards/panels removed.
• Whenever ground wires are removed during servicing, these ground wires must be
reconnected to ensure that the dryer is properly grounded.

CONTROL PANEL
Type shown in Figure 10
a. Remove control panel attaching screws and
pull panel away from control hood as far as
wires will permit.
b. Pull knob off timer shaft.
NOTE: Models equipped with the adjustable timer
knob indicator. Refer to Paragraph 67.
c. Remove three screws holding timer to control
panel.
NOTE: When reinstalling timer, position spacer
between timer and control panel.
d. Pull knob off temperature selector switch.
e. Remove temperature switch knurled nut, and
start switch hex nut.
f. Remove left and right end caps.
NOTE: When reinstalling switches, lockwashers
must be between switches and control panel for
grounding purposes.
