Chapter Introduction
This chapter gives information about the GuardPLC DeviceNet Safety
Scanner included in a GuardPLC Safety System.
Overview
Before operating a GuardPLC safety system containing a DeviceNet
safety scanner, you must read, understand, and follow the installation,
operation, and safety information provided in the publications
provided in the following table.
The DeviceNet safety scanner provides DeviceNet access for
GuardPLC controllers via High-speed Safety Protocol (HSP). The
safety scanner supports standard DeviceNet Master and Slave
connections as well as DeviceNet safety originator and target
connections.
In addition, there are the following essential functions.
