Components of the Redundant System
The following graphic (series C chassis depicted) shows the components of a redundant system in a typical configuration.
Removable Terminal Blocks (RTBs) for I/O Connections
WARNING:
EXPLOSION HAZARD
When you connect or disconnect the removable terminal block (RTB) with field side power applied, an electric arc can occur. This could cause an explosion in
hazardous location installations.
Be sure that power is removed or the area is nonhazardous before proceeding.
IMPORTANT
The ControlLogix redundant power supply system is designed to account for operational anomalies in only the power supply. The chassis adapter and power
supply cables are excluded.
