This device can be used by children from the age of 8 and also
by persons with impaired physical, sensory or mental abilities or
lacking experience and/or knowledge, if they are under
supervision or after receiving instruction on safe use of the
appliance and have understood the resulting hazards. Children
must not play with the device.

Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by
children without supervision.
z
Batteries can be life-endangering if swallowed. Therefore, keep
the scale and batteries out of reach of small children. If a battery
has been swallowed, medical assistance must immediately be
sought.
Hazards for children
z
Keep children away from packaging material. Suffocation hazard if
swallowed. Ensure that the packaging bag is not put over the head.
Injury hazard
z
Batteries must not be charged, reactivated with other means,
dismantled, thrown into fire or short-circuited. Explosion hazard!
z
Avoid battery acid coming into contact with skin, eyes and mucous
membranes. If battery acid comes into contact with the skin, immediately
rinse the affected areas with plenty of clear water and immediately
contact a physician.
Caution – property damage

The scale must not be immersed in water or other liquids.
z
Place the scale on a sturdy, level surface.
z
Do not overload the scale. Pay attention to the “Technical data”.
Place only items for weighing on the scale.
z
Do not put the scale near appliances which can emit magnetic radiation,
e.g. mobile phones, radios or similar. This can lead to incorrect displays
or malfunctions.
