PumP
Cause:
- Wear in motor/bearing - bearing dry.
- Rubber coupling between motor and pump shaft faulty.
- Pump shaft bent.
- Paddle wheel in pump housing does not rotate freely.
Remedial action:
- Lubricate the upper bearings of the motor with one drop
of sewing machine oil, if necessary replace motor.
- Check that the rubber coupling is straight, and does not
move about during operation and that the pump shaft is
straight. Slacken the nut which hold the pump, turn the
pump slightly and re-tighten the nut.
- Check that the pump housing is clean and free from
foreign objects.
:1 CIRCulAtIOn PumP DOES nOt StARt
Cause:
- No voltage to boiler.
- Switch on room thermostat off.
- Temperatures setting too low (room thermostat has trip-
ped).
- Room thermostat wrongly calibrated or faulty
- Switch for circulation pump on control panel in wrong
position/faulty.
- Cable connections not attached to motor.
- Pump motor faulty.
Remedial action:
- Check voltage and fuse.
- Check that the switch on the room thermostat is in the
”ON” position.
- Check that the temperature setting on the room thermo-
stat is higher than the temperature in the caravan.
- Calibrate the room thermostat in accordance with 6:18.
- Check that the switch for the circulation pump on the con-
trol panel is in the 12 V position and that it is not faulty.
- Check the cable connections and voltage at the pump
motor, if necessary replies motor.
