5.12 Operation in Single Step Mode (optional)
If the
CargoMaster
is used by an inexperienced user or for
climbing particularly deep steps, it is advisable to use the
device in single step mode.
If the single step switch (located next to the up/down
switch) is put in position “I” and you push the up/down
switch, the
CargoMaster
begins its ascent, but it stops af-
ter each step, even though the up/down switch remains
pushed, i.e. it stops after each climbing cycle automatically.
This has the advantage that the user gains, when climbing
or descending e.g. particularly deep steps, as much time as
he or she needs to push the device all the way up to the edge
of the step or pulling it back until the big wheels touch the
next step, depending on whether one descends or ascends
the stairs.
Only after releasing and renewed pushing of the up/down
switch the
CargoMaster
resumes the climbing or descen-
ding.
If you do not want to use the single step mode, put the sing-
le step switch on position “0.“ In such case the
CargoMaster
works in a continuous fashion.
