BEFORE FIRST USE
•
Unpack the appliance carefully and remove all packing materials. Dispose of the packaging materials in
an appropriate way. Ask your local authorities about collection centres or waste separation. Make sure
that no packaging debris remains on the heating element (3).
Warning!
Packaging materials are not toys. Children should not play with the packaging materials, as they
pose a risk of swallowing and suffocation!
•
Check for completeness and transport damage. In case of damages or incomplete delivery please
contact your dealer ( Guarantee).
•
Keep the packaging for storing the appliance when not in use for an extended period of time.
•
Place the appliance on a level, stable, clean, dry and heat resistant surface.
•
Operate the appliance before first use on medium power setting for 10 to 15 minutes to burn off
production residues. Make sure there is ample ventilation. There might be some smoke building up. This
is normal and does not indicate any defect of the appliance.
•
Clean the pans (9), grill plate (1) and hot stone (2) with a mild detergent and a soft sponge. Do not use
scouring or abrasive cleaners, as the non-stick surface of the pans (9) and the grill plate (1) can be
damaged.
•
Dry the pans (9), grill plate (1) and hot stone (2) thoroughly.

Place the grill plate (1) and the hot stone (2) on the metal frame (12) (Fig. 1).
•
The appliance is now assembled (Fig. 2).
•
For easy assembly, place the hot stone (2) on the metal frame (12) first, before placing the grill plate (1).
Tip:
The grill plate (1) heats up very fast and is more suitable for grilling. The hot stone (2) takes some
time to heat up, but it provides steady heat (warming up food) for an extended period of time, even
after the appliance is switched off. The hot stone (2) can be also used for slow, fat-free grilling.
