Note: Because the flat spring may keep strong tension when it is in the housing, accident may occur if
the spring is ejected. Care shall be taken in the process of operation and operator shall ware
gloves and goggles in order to avoid injury resulting from the spring ejection.
4.7 Muffler
Exhaust system and muffler of engine have carbon depositions after the engine has been used for
a while. If no care is taken for the carbon deposition, finally the carbon deposition will clog the
exhaust passage so that the engine will be impaired or fails in smooth start. It is required to clear
off the carbon depositions in muffler as shown in the following figure after the muffler has
carbon deposition.
Reasons why there are excessive carbon depositions are because:
 Mixed oil contains too much engine oil.
 Air filters are not clean.
 The engine runs overtime at idle.
 Carburetor is not clean.
 Mixture ratio of fuel and air is excessive.
4.8 Replace engine oil
Because unclean engine oil will result in short life of the gasoline engine moving parts, it is
required to regularly replace the engine oil and ensure the sufficient engine in the gasoline
engine.
Replacement interval of engine oil: it is required to replace engine oil after the machine is used
for the first 10 hours. After that, it is required to replace the engine oil each 6 months or 50 hours
of operation time.
Tip! If engine oil is drained when the gasoline engine is still hot, the engine oil can be drained
quickly and completely.
