Fitting/removing the cutter head (02)
Fitting the cutter head
1. Align coupling (02/1) of the cutter head and
telescopic pole (02/2) with one another so
that the embossed arrows are facing each
other.
2. Push coupling and telescopic pole completely
into one another (02/a).
3. Push locking sleeve (02/3) completely over
the coupling (02/b).
4. Turn the locking sleeve in the direction of
the closed padlock (02/c).
Removing the cutter head
1. Turn the locking sleeve in the direction of
the open padlock.
2. Pull off the cutter head.

Inserting and removing the
rechargeable battery (03, 04)
IMPORTANT! Danger of damage to the re-
chargeable battery.
If the rechargeable battery
is left in the appliance after use, it may damage
the rechargeable battery.
■
Immediately after use, pull the rechargeable
battery out of the appliance and store in a
frost-protected area.
■
Only insert the rechargeable battery in the
appliance immediately before starting work.
Inserting the rechargeable battery (03)
1. Push rechargeable battery (03/1) into battery
slot (03/2) of the basic tool until it engages
(03/a).
Pulling out the rechargeable battery (04)
1. Press and hold the unlock button (04/1) on
the rechargeable battery (04/2).
2. Pull out the rechargeable battery (04/a).

during operation can lead to serious injury.

Before turning the appliance on, check that
all the parts of the appliance are firmly tight-
ened.
■
Attach cutting tools so that they cannot de-
tach during operation.
6.1
Checking the charge status of the
rechargeable battery
Charge status indicator (01/6) is located on the
top of the basic appliance.
It has three segments. The segments light up or
flash, depending on the battery charge status.
Segment
Battery charge level
3 segments lit:
Rechargeable battery
fully charged.
2 segments lit:
Rechargeable battery
2/3 charged.
1 segment lit:
Rechargeable battery
1/3 charged.
1 segment flashing:
Rechargeable battery
almost flat. The appli-
ance will switch off
shortly.
6.2
Extending/shortening the telescopic
pole (05)
The telescopic pole (05/2) is infinitely adjustable.
This means the length can be adjusted as re-
quired for the work.
1. Turn locking sleeve (05/1) in the direction of
the open padlock (05/a) until the clamp is re-
leased.
2. Move the telescopic pole until the desired
length is set (05/b)
3. Tighten the locking sleeve.

Turning the cutter head (06, 07)
The swivelling cutter head allows you to work
from a comfortable and safe working position.
WARNING! Danger of cutting injuries.
Danger of cutting injuries when reaching into the
cutting blade.
■
Always switch off the appliance before turn-
ing the cutter head.
