AFTER REMOTE STARTING
A ‘Key Takeover’ procedure is required to keep the engine running before driving.
See table below.
KEy TAKEOVER PROCEDURE
Step 1
Unlock and enter vehicle
Step 2
Insert key into ignition and turn to ON position
Step 3
Press foot brake
NOTE:
If foot brake is applied before inserting key into ignition, the vehicle engine will shut down.
remote start runtime
Once remote started from your factory key fob or long-range remote, your vehicle will run
for the programmed ‘runtime’ setting. The default runtime is 15 minutes but it can also be
programmed for 3, 5, 10, 25, 30 or 35 minutes. If you wish to change your remote start runtime
setting, contact your Authorized Dealer.
