RECORDING AUDIO

This turntable is equipped with a PC

Encoding feature to record audio from

a vinyl record. This feature can be used

by installing and using a program called

‘Audacity’ for the Windows Operating

System.

1.  Insert the Audacity program CD into the

drive of your computer or download the

Audacity program.

2.  Click on the ‘Audacity’ file to open

it and click on ‘adacity.exe’ to run

the program. Follow the on-screen

instructions to install it onto your

computer.

3.  After the software is installed, you

should be able to record vinyl records

to your PC.

4.  Connect the power cord to the

turntable’s DC power jack, and the

other end to the Mains outlet.

5.  Plug the supplied USB cable into the

USB port of the turntable and the other

end into the computer’s USB port.

6.  Rotate the Power/Volume knob to turn

on the appliance and open the Audacity

program on your computer.

7.  Before recording, click on the ‘Edit’

menu and select ‘Preferences’. The

‘Preferences’ menu should open up.

8.  Under the ‘Recording’ section, select

the USB audio device and choose

‘Software Playthrough’ to hear

the audio while it records. Note: In

Windows, the turntable may show

up under a different name. This may

depend on your computer model and

operating system.

9.  If you have difficulty finding the

turntable, check your system settings

or on the control panel to adjust the

audio input settings from the sound

control panel.

10.  To record, start the turntable and place

the stylus on the vinyl record to begin

playback. In Audacity, click on the red

record button located on the toolbar.

This will begin recording the audio

from a vinyl to PC.

11.  When the track has finished recording,

click on the orange stop button.

Note: After recording to the computer, the

USB cable may need to be removed from

the USB port to enable playback from the

computer later on.

Note: For full instructions on using Audacity,

please refer to Audacity manual, which can

be located on the Audacity website:
