Cleaning the Read/Write Head manually
Before cleaning the read/write head manually, make sure this unit is powered
off.
Hold the access door open and gently wipe the read/write head up and down as
shown below. For cleaning, you may use a lint-free cotton swab moistened with
more than 90% isopropyl alcohol. Wait for at least 10 minutes for the head to dry
completely after cleaning.
Never power on this unit before the read/write head is dry. Doing so will
electrically damage the read/write head.
