DRC (Dynamic Range Control)
When the DRC is turned on, the unit compresses the
dynamic range of the audio output (i.e. the difference
between the loudest and the quietest sounds) so that
you can listen to a movie or music at a low volume
without losing the clarity of sound.
On:
Select this to play a disc at a low volume.
Off:
Select this to play a disc without DRC.
Note
DRC only works for analog audio outputs of the unit while
playing a DVD recorded in Dolby Digital (AC-3) Format.

PBC (Playback Control)
When PBC is turned off, the video CD version 2.0 is
played continuously without returning to the menu
screen and operated the same way as the video CD
version 1.1.
On:
Video CDs with PBC are played according to the
PBC.
Off:
Video CDs with PBC are played the same way as
Audio CDs.
