ICE A/C & HEX Combo Unit I&O Manual 07/2020 Rev.1

3.2  Operating control mode

3.2.1 Cooling Control

Cooling startup point = cooling stop point + cooling sensitivity. When the cabinet

internal temperature exceeds the cooling startup point, cooling will start; when the

cabinet internal temperature is lower than the cooling stop point, cooling will stop.

3.2.2 Heat Exchanger and Cooling

The heat exchanger and the compressor of the Combo Unit adopt grading interlocking

control. The heat exchanger is defined as the first stage heat dissipation and the

compressor is defined as second stage cooling. According to the cabinet internal/

external temperatures, dividing into four operating modes:

1.

Internal fan running

After the Air Conditioner with Heat Exchanger startup 30s, internal fan running.

2.

Heat Exchanger running

When the cabinet internal temperature exceeds 95ºF (35ºC), and external ambient

temperature is more than 39ºF (4ºC) lower than the cabinet internal temperature,

the internal/external fan are started, entering the heat exchanger mode.

Air Conditioner running

When the cabinet internal temperature rise continuously to 104ºF (40ºC), the

compressor will be started. If the external ambient temperature is less 36ºF (2ºC)

lower than the cabinet internal or the external ambient temperature is higher than

the cabinet internal, only air conditioner will be started. And when the cabinet

internal temperature is lower than  95ºF (35ºC), the compressor and external fan are

shut down, and the air conditioner stops.

Heat exchanger and Air Conditioner running.

When the cabinet internal temperature exceed 104ºF (40ºC), the compressor will

be started. If the external ambient temperature is more 36ºF (2ºC) lower than the

cabinet internal, heat exchanger will be started too, entering both running mode.

When the cabinet internal temperature reduces to 95ºF (35ºC), the compressor and

external fan are shut down, and the air conditioner stops.

3.2.3 Heating (Optional)

The Combo Unit provides an optional heating function.
The heating function works when the cabinet internal temperature is lower than 50ºF

(10ºC), and when the cabinet internal temperature is exceeds 59ºF (15ºC), the heater

stops.(The indoor fan will not stop when heater is running).

3.3 Alarms

The Combo Unit provides the following alarm information; monitoring software can see

the detailed alarm information. When there is alarm triggered, the interface display the

relevant information, showed as Figure 5.
