- Every time the player falls,
THE MECHANISM MUST BE STOPPED!

WAIT AT LEAST
5 SECONDS
before pressing any other button/handle on the Control Box.
- The unit should
NOT TO BE USED IF IT BECOMES WET
. In the event of rain, the unit should
be deflated and folded to prevent water collecting on it.
-
DO NOT
allow
MORE THAN 1 PLAYER
on the unit at a time. (This includes the entire bed area.)
- Please start at a slow speed, to build the confidence of the player. As the game progresses, the
operator can increase the difficulty of the ride.
- Always advise the player that you are increasing the difficulty. If the rider does
NOT
agree to go
faster, respect their decision.
- Always warn the player before starting the game.
- Only after the player feels that he/she has positioned himself/herself the operator can start the
program.
The controller/operator shall determine the number and suitability of supervisory personnel (min.
of one) required to operate the inflatable safely. This should be done by considering matters such
as the maximum number of users, the age of the users, the environment in which the inflatable is
being used, spectators number and attitude
, number of users in queue etc…
Operators and attendants need to be easily identifiable. This is usually achieved by wearing a
uniform or part of a uniform which both users and onlookers can recognize. Perhaps a tabard or
even a T- shirt with "I'm in charge" emblazoned across it.
The operator needs to be able to exercise some authority over the users. For example, a whistle
hung around the operator's neck, immediately confers authority.
All operators receive effective training in the working of the device including:
- Safe operation and maintenance of the amusement device
- Site safety
- Safe entry/exit for users;
- Safe anchoring of the inflatable;
- Crowd control measures and barriers;
- Action to be taken in the event of a power failure;
- Procedures for reporting accidents, defects or breakdowns, fire, adverse weather and other
emergencies.
Before entering the play area,
CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS SHALL BE GIVEN
to players on their
conduct during playtime.
It is recommended that safety signs should be devised and displayed in a prominent position
where users will see them before they are allowed to use the inflatable unit. Such signage is a useful
reminder for staff too.
