Adjusting Enhanced Cleaning Frequency:
This step is
ONLY necessary if you wish to increase or decrease the frequency of
your water ionizer Enhanced Cleaning function.
As mentioned in the prior section, the factory default frequency setting
for the Enhanced Cleaning function is after approximately every 10.5
gallons/40 Liters of water is dispensed. If the source water quality in
your area is particularly bad or high in mineral content you might want
to increase the frequency of Enhanced Cleaning or, if the water quality
is very good and low in mineral content, you might want to reduce the
frequency. To do so, follow these steps...
A. Make sure the water ionizer is plugged in but that the
Faucet Diverter Valve is
and water is
flowing to the unit. Then simultaneously press and
hold the "Set" and "Wash" buttons continuously for 5
seconds. The water ionizer will beep indicating that
it's entered Enhanced Cleaning Adjustment Mode and
the LCD will display both the flashing Wash Indicator
light and the current Enhanced Cleaning frequency.
From this menu, you will be able to increase or
decrease how often Enhanced Cleaning occurs.
B. After entering Enhanced Cleaning Adjustment Mode, press the
Purified button to increase the number of Liters before Enhanced
Cleaning occurs, i.e., to clean
frequently, or press the Acidic
button to decrease the number of Liters before Enhanced Cleaning
is triggered, i.e., to clean
frequently. Each press of Purified
or Acidic button in this mode will respectively increase or decrease
the number of Liters required to trigger Enhanced Cleaning by 10
Liters and the frequency can be varied between 10 and 100 Liters.
C. After increasing or decreasing the frequency of Enhance Cleaning
to the desired level, press the "Set" button to save the new setting
and exit Enhanced Cleaning Adjustment Mode.

If you do not press the "Set" button within 20 seconds
after
increasing or decreasing the frequency of Enhanced Cleaning, the
unit will exit Enhanced Cleaning Adjustment Mode without saving
the revised settings.
