Check that the boiler room ventilation / boiler air and flue
ducts are unobstructed.

Verify flue gas and combustion air ducts are in good condi-
tion, sealed tight and properly supported.

Open the front panel and check the general condition inside
the cabinet. Clean and vacuum as required.

Clean the condensate pipe and trap. Refer to
Condensate Pipe and Trap” on page I-47.

Clean/service the condensate neutralisation system (if any).
Refer to manufacturer’s documentation.

Clean any filter/dirt separator, plate heat exchanger or bal-
ance header present in the hydraulic system, as required.
Refer to manufacturer’s documentation.

Check for leaks, both inside and outside the appliance: wa-
ter, gas, flue and condensate.
X

Check boiler water pressure (at least
1.2 bar when cold). Top
up the system with water if required.

Check the operation of the burner (flame) through the sight
glass and that the combustion parameters (CO & CO
) are
according to requirements. See

Check the gas pressure and that the gas supply shut-off
devices are operating properly.

Check that the pump(s) is/are operating properly.
X
Check that the fan is operating properly.
X
Remove the burner and check its general condition. Clean
as required. See

Replace the ignition and ionization electrodes. Refer to

Check all control wiring and connections.

Check the condition of the combustion chamber and clean it
if required. See

Check the operation of the flue damper (non-return valve),
if any, and perform the required maintenance. Refer to the
manufacturer’s documentation.
