Replacing the Basic
Monitor Board
1. Turn off the mainframe and remove the power cord.
2. Remove the rear panel. Refer to “Removing the Rear Panel from the
Mainframe” on page 45 for instructions.
3. Remove the mainframe cover by removing the ten m3x6 flat head
torx screws (five on each side of the mainframe). Refer to Figure 3-3.
4. Remove the two male/female standoffs connecting the Diagnostic
connector to the mainframe chassis.
5. Remove the ribbon cable and the two m3x8 torx screws from the
basic monitor board.
6. Install the replacement monitor board and re-insert the standoffs,
screws, and ribbon cable removed in the previous steps.
7. Replace the mainframe cover. Make certain that all 10 m3x6 flathead
torx screws are secured.
8. Replace the rear panel. Make certain that all 14 screws are secured.
