Operation
Caution
Electrostatic
discharge
(ESD)
can
damage
the
highly
sensitive
circuits
in
this
device;
charges
as
low
as
100
V
can
destroy
your
detector
.
ESD
damage
occurs
most
often
as
you
connect
or
disconnect
a
device
.
Use
this
detector
at
a
static-safe
workstation
and
wear
a
grounding
strap
.
Never
touch
the
input
connector
center
contacts
or
the
cable
contact
pins
.
Do
not
apply
more
than
+20
dBm
RF
power
or
more
than
610
VDC
to
the
detector
.
Higher
power/voltage
can
electrically
damage
the
detector
.
Before
you
connect
a
RF
cable
to
the
detector
,
always
discharge
the
static
electricity
that
may
have
accumulated
on
the
cable's
outer
conductor
to
instrument
ground.
This
is
most
important
if
the
cable
is
very
long
or
connected
to
a
large
antenna.
Do
not
drop
the
detector
or
subject
it
to
mechanical
shock.
