This

timebase.
The
time
required
for
a
sp ecic
phase
c
hange
is
measured
b oth
b efore
and
after
a
sp ecied

aiting

d.
The
aging
rate
is
in
v
ersely
prop ortional
to
the
absolute
v
alue
of
the
dierence
in
the
measured
times.
The
o
v
erall
accuracy
of
the
in
ternal
timebase
is
a
function
of:

After
the
timebase
is
adjusted,
the
timebase
frequency
should
stay
within
the
aging
rate
if
the

to
the
earth's
magnetic
eld.
The
instrumen

the

timebase

en
co ols
(the
instrumen
t
is
disconnected
from

C

w
er),

ou
may

readjust
the
timebase
frequency

cycle.

ypically
,
ho
w
ev
er,
the
timebase
frequency
returns
to
within
61
Hz
of
the
original
frequency
.
Note
The
in
ternal
timebase
can
b e
tested
after
reconnecting
A
C
p o
w
er
for
10
min
utes,
but
for
b est
accuracy
,
test
again
after
the
instrumen
t
has
b een
on
or
in
standb
y
condition
for
24
hours.
