Turn on the frequency counter, set counter to:
• Function: Freq
• Termination: 50
Ω
: AC
• Auto Trig: Off
• Trigger level: 25 mV
• Slope: Pos
• Sensitivity: Hi

When the
READY
LED stops flashing and is stable, observe the frequency
displayed on the frequency counter.

Record the date measured and actual reading on line 2 of the
“Performance Test Record" on page 37.
Wavelength test
After replacement of the laser tube and power supply a wavelength test
should be performed. Wavelength tests require specialized and expensive
equipment. Wavelength tests can be performed at a qualified service center
and the factory. Contact your local Agilent service facility for a quote. If
you want to explore doing the wavelength test on your own, please consult
with your local bureau of standards. You can search the National Institute
of Standards and Technology in the USA at the following web site:
