Installing the smoke sensor
Smoke sensors in living accommodations should be mounted be-
tween living rooms and bedrooms because most house fires start in
the living area.
Mounting position is on the ceiling in the centre of the room.
The minimum distance to the walls is 60 cm.
Sensors should not be in rooms which under normal conditions
have a great amount of smoke or vapours present, e.g. kitch-
ens, humid and damp rooms, in close vicinity to ventilators or air
conditioning units or in rooms in which people smoke.
