6.3 De-aerating the suction line
De-aerating the suction line during commissioning or maintenance
work

Open the lead seal and set the scale ring to the setting
"Entlüften/Vent/Aerer".
When you feel the stop, do not continue to turn. The scale will
otherwise come off of the housing.

KAV is permanently open.
Siphoning is
not prevented with this setting.
CAUTION Siphoning of the tank if KAV is in the Open position.

After de-aerating, readjust the safe height at KAV and seal the
product.
6.4 Shutting off KAV
For performing work at the suction line

Open the lead seal and set the scale ring to the setting "Absper-
ren/Close/Fermer".

KAV is permanently closed.
In this setting, KAV
cannot be opened by a vacuum.
CAUTION Damage to the fuel oil consumer if KAV is shut off.

Prior to switching on the fuel oil consumer, readjust the safe
height at KAV and seal the product.
