KAV is suitable for temperatures as low as -25 °C and may therefore
be installed in manholes of underground tanks. KAV is a completely
closed system which can neither freeze nor become polluted.
Therefore, flooding of the manhole has no direct influence on the an-
ti-siphon protection of the valve (the anti-siphon protection of a dia-
phragm type valve is reduced or completely lost under water be-
cause the water column acts directly on the diaphragm).
