Congratulations and thank you for purchasing the ThunderBat XF KIT.   Before com-

pleting the final assembly of your new airplane, please carefully read these instructions
in their entirety.

These instructions assume you are already an RC pilot with experience

flying and building 3ch aircraft at a minimum.  If this is not the case, we highly

recommend you get experienced help.   Contact the Academy of Model Aeronautics

(AMA), which has more than 2,500 chartered clubs across the USA with instructor and

newcomer training programs.

Before beginning assembly read the instructions thoroughly to give an understanding

of the sequence of steps and a general awareness of the recommended assembly proce-

dures.

By following these instructions carefully and referring to the corresponding pictures, the

assembly of your model will be both enjoyable and rewarding.

If you are not an experienced R/C pilot, plan to have a fully competent pilot check your

completed model and help you with your first flights.  Even though we have tried to

provide you with a very thorough instruction manual, R/C models are rather complicated

and an experienced modeler can quickly check over your model to help make sure your

first flights are successful.

Before you begin check the entire contents of your kit with the list & photo below

to make sure that no parts are missing or damaged.. Please check all parts before

construction, as we cannot exchange components which you have already worked on.  If

you find that any of the parts are either missing or damaged, please contact ParkFlyRC

Customer Service immediately for replacements.

INTRODUCTION

EXAMINE YOUR KIT CAREFULLY!

When routing wires underneath,  spread the wires and run them along the sides to avoid

deformation of the motor shroud which must hold a very close clearance with the 28mm

motor recommended.  (Outrunner propulsion shown)

INSTALLING THE TAIL

If the joint surfaces don’t make good contact with the wing, remove any rough edges and

sand them back slightly until they do.  Also check the horizontal stab joints for fit.  Spray

activator on all four joint surfaces and allow it to air dry.  Apply CA to the recesses

in each joint, and press the vertical stabs into place first followed with the horizontal

stab.  Immediately align them carefully and tape or pin them in position until the glue

has set.  If using hot glue, apply a small fillet along the inside joints (closest to the

motor pad) for extra strength.

CONTROL HORNS AND PUSH RODS

Place a drop of glue on each of the control horn footprint areas before installing the

control horns as shown below.  Note the push rod holes should be directly over the hinge

line.  Clip the excess from the locking tabs.  Set all travels for +-10mm from center.
