3.5. SENSORS
The DXR Excellence version is compatible with two types of sensors for the management of supply
airflow: presence detection or CO
2
.
We recommend to use one sensor per main room (living room and bedroom).
- Presence sensors and CO
2
sensors can be mixed together.
- A maximum of 5 sensors can be connected to the system.
- The connection to the system is made through RJ12 wires. Only the specific ones supplied by
Aereco can be used.

3.5.1. PRESENCE SENSORS (DXR S-PRE)
The DXR S-PRE presence detector uses infrared radiation to measure movements made in a room.
The detector includes a LED indicator that displays the detections in order to inform the users. When
luminosity in the room is very low, the LED is automatically switched off.
The S-PRE sensor must be installed on the ceiling at a place it can easily detect the presence.

2
SENSORS (DXR S-CO2)

Sensors must be installed on the wall, at a height of at least 1.5 from the floor, or at the
ceiling, and must respect the following recommendations:
·keep the sensor away from any direct solar radiation,
·keep the sensor away from draughts (door, window, supply, etc.),
·avoid placing the sensor in dead zones (behind curtains, furniture, etc.),
·keep the sensor away from heat sources and from occupants,
·if the sensor is located at the ceiling, keep it away from any supply unit.
5 indexation positions are allowed for every sensor (presence or CO
2
): position 1 to position 5
included.
Important: Every sensor must have a specific identification number (1 to 5) so that the
system can identify them.
Example:

Presence sensor bedroom A = 1

Presence sensor bedroom B = 2
·
Presence sensor bedroom C = 3

Note:
the sensors are delivered in position 0. They must be manipulated with extreme care.

For DX Hub 6 only :
The damper n°6 corresponds to the compensation damper. It is necessary to
install its supply unit in a corridor or in the same room than the supply unit n°5.
