º
You must only connect the fully wired heating cable set to AC current 1/N/PE 230 V ~50 Hz, with the fitted
earthed plug.
º
The pipework and its insulation must have a rated temperature limit of 80 °C and must not be flammable.
º
Please note that the maximum operating temperature is 65 °C and the maximum ambient temperature is 85 °C
(when idle; heat conductor not in operation).
º
Never start the heating cable when it is rolled up.
º
Only install the heating cable fully rolled out and spread over the entire pipe length. Trim the heating cable
set as required.
º
The heating cable is generally laid parallel to the pipework to be heated. From a pipe diameter of DN 125, lay
2 m heating cable per 1 m pipe, for better heat transfer.
º
The pipe temperature is captured directly at the pipe via the integral thermostat.
º
Permanent installations must only be carried out by an authorised contractor.
º
Never replace or extend the power cable.
º
Never continue to use the heating cable set if any damage is visible on the surface.
º
If the heating cable or power cable are damaged, replace the entire heating cable set.
º
The heating cable ensures frost protection down to - 25 °C for pipework with an internal diameter of DN 80
and an insulation thickness of at least 20 mm.
º
When unpacking the heating cable set, ensure that no accessory parts are left in the packaging (e.g. end cap).
º
Keep the fully wired heating cable set dry and without kinks.
