Safety information
The appliance may only be operated
with the voltage and current given on
the casing (rating plate).
Important
Do not use this hairdryer
near the bath, wash basin or other
vessels containing water. There is also a
risk when the hairdryer is switched off,
so disconnect the plug from the mains
socket after using the hairdryer and
before cleaning it. Never remove the
plug from the mains socket by pulling
on the lead. Putting a earth leakage
circuit breaker with a rated breaking
current of not more than 30 mA in the
house's wiring offers additional
protection. Contact your electrician.
The appliance must not get
wet, nor can it be used
when your hands are wet.
However, should the
appliance fall into water,
immediately remove the plug from
the mains socket. Do not under any
circumstance put your hands into
the water. Then have the appliance
checked by a service engineer. Do
not spray aerosols or water
atomisers into the appliance.
As soon as the appliance is put down, it
should always be switched off, for
safety reasons
Because of the way the appliance
works, the air outlet grille becomes hot
while the appliance is being used.
The electrical lead must not come into
contact with the air outlet opening
when the appliance is in use.
Please check the electrical lead for
damage from time to time. If the
electrical lead is damaged, send the
appliance to the dealer from whom the
hairdryer was purchased (as special
tools have to be used), or to the
Customer Service Centre.
The instructions in these operating
instructions must be followed and
must be explained to children. Children
should not use the hairdryer without
supervision.
The air inlet and outlet grilles must
never be covered up.
If the passage of air is obstructed when
this appliance is being used, (e.g. by
dirt), then the integrated temperature
protection device automatically
switches the appliance off and then on
again after it has cooled down (after a
few minutes). If it becomes dirty, clean
the air inlet grille. Hair should not
come directly within range of the air
inlet grille.
Repairs to electrical appliances may
only be carried out by qualified
service engineers. Improper repairs
can give rise to significant hazards
for the user.
The manufacturer cannot accept any
liability for any damage caused as a
result of using the appliance
contrary to the manner intended, or
using it incorrectly.
