• If you only want to use the unit as a loudspeaker,
charge the battery for 5 minutes before using it.
• If you also want to use the disco lights in the unit,
charge the battery for 15 minutes before using it.
After that, you can operate the unit with the power
supply.

Getting Started
The packaging box contains the following items:

AUX
•
Aux-in
mode plays audio from an external source such
as an MP3 player.
• Turn the power on (12).
• Turn the volume low by using the
/ -
dial (9)
on both the EC 4844 and, if adjustable, the audio source
appliance.
• Press the
SOURCE
button (2) to select the
AUX
mode.
• Connect the external audio source to the AUX-in 3.5mm
stereo socket (15).
• You will hear the music playback from the external
audio source through the loudspeakers of EC 4844. Use
the
/ -
dial (9) to adjust the volume of EC
4844 (and, if necessary, the audio source appliance) as
required. For the remaining procedure please see the
operating instructions of the external audio source.
• Use the
TREBLE
+ / -
dial (8) to adjust the treble volume.
• Use the
BASS
+ / -
dial (10) to adjust the base volume.
Bluetooth
• Turn the power on (12).
• Turn the volume low by using the
VOLUME
+ / -
dial (9)
on both the EC 4844 and, if adjustable, the audio source
appliance.
• Press the
SOURCE
button (2) to select the
Bluetooth
mode. After pressing, the
Bluetooth
indicator will flash
(4), making it ready for pairing or discovering to other
appliances.
• Turn on the
Bluetooth
function of your
Bluetooth
appli-
cable appliance and enable the search or scan function
to find the
Bluetooth
stereo sound system.
• Select the
Bluetooth
stereo sound system name: “
AEG
EC 4844
” from the list of found appliances.

Tips
: Only one playback unit can be connected to the
Bluetooth
stereo sound system. If the
Bluetooth
stereo
sound system is already connected to another playback
unit, the
Bluetooth
stereo sound system will not appear
in the
Bluetooth
selection list and it will not be possible
to select.
• If your appliance asks for a password (depending on the
appliance manufacturers, model, and software version),
then enter digits “0000” (four zeros).
• After successful pairing with the
Bluetooth
stereo sound
system you will hear a short beep along with a steadily
blinking
Bluetooth
indicator (4) for confirmation.
• After connected completely, you can listen to music
wirelessly through
Bluetooth
and select music stored
locally in your
Bluetooth
appliance. Alternatively, the
internet radio of the
Bluetooth
appliance, if applicable,
can be used for playback on the
Bluetooth
stereo sound
system.
• Use the / buttons (5) to skip tracks and move
through the audio playlist.
• Use the button (6) to pause or resume the audio
playback.
