Operation
This unit is classified as a category 1 laser unit.
The corresponding tag may be found on the outside surface of the unit.
Laser rays may cause damage to eyes. Please pay caution to the follow-
ing:
Do not open the unit under any circumstances. Do not attempt to
disassemble the unit.
To avoid endangerment: Maintenance should be performed by the
manufacturer or their customer service only.
To avoid damage of a DVD, remove it from the device before trans-
port.
Don’t move the device during operation.
Select a safe location to ensure safe operation of the unit. Please pay
caution to the following:
Protect the unit against environmental forces. Never use it outdoors.
Protect the unit from moisture.
Do not place any container filled with liquid substances i.e. vases, on
top of the unit.
Never place the unit on top of or in the close vicinity of heating
sources such as i.e. heaters, ovens, etc.
Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight.
When placing the unit ensure the location provides adequate ven-
tilation to avoid heat accumulation inside of the unit. Ensure that
ventilation slots are not blocked.
Protect the unit from mechanical percussions.
Always place the unit on a sturdy flat surface.
Protect the remote control against environmental forces, moisture
and extreme temperatures (i.e. direct sun light).
The device can display a still image on screen for unlimited time.
This can cause damage to the screen. Hence, it is recommended to
activate the screen saver.

Do not adjust the volume in the event a low volume segment is
rendered. This may cause damage to the speaker if suddenly followed
by a high volume rendition of a following segment.
Don’t move the device with a DVD inside. The DVD could be dam-
aged.
Don’t long into the DVD tray with your hand. You could get injured.
To avoid damage to the unit place only CD’s or DVD’s into the desig-
nated slot.
Pull the mains plug when you don’t use the device for an extended
period of time.
Disconnect the network plug during a thunderstorm.
