Storage, dismounting and scrapping
5.1 Storage
l
Longer storage periods without charging may lead to
permanent damage of the battery.
Because of inner chemical activity during storage within
a temperatur range from 20°C to 30 C the self-discharge
rate will be approx.
of nominal capacity per
month. It is
to store
at
temperatures below 20°C because the allowed
charging period will be much longer.
To preserve full capacity, batteries should be recharged
each 6 months when stored at 20°C. For a storage
temperature of 0°C the equivalent value would be
24 months.
Prior to a longer storage period the
should
be connected in normal operation without any load to the
mains for 48 hours to make sure a fully charged battery.
5.2 Dismounting
Dismounting of the
is to be made vice
versa to the sequence
in chapter 4.
5.3 Scrapping
At the end of useful life of the unit please make sure
a suitable scrapping of all components according to
national international rules concerning disposal and
recycling with respect to an effective environmental
protection.
