mains the battery remains still connected to several
components of the UPS, so that the danger of electric
remains continuously. To avoid unnecessary danger
the battery-circuit should absolutely be disconnected
prior to maintenance or other business
Replacement and maintaining of the battery must be.-

done by or in attendance of skilled personnel who have
the knowledge about those activities as well as the re-
quired preventive actions
Keep away non-authorized people from batteries
Replacement of batteries is only allowed by using
types of the built-in design with the following technical
data:

Danger of explosion
Don’t throw batteries into fire. Don’t open batteries and
avoid damage, as outcoming electrolyte is toxic and
harmful for skin and eyes
Batteries can cause
electric
and
high short-circuit
currents.
Take the following precautions when handling with bat-
teries:
Lay aside wrist-watches, rings and other metal objects
Use insulated tools only
