Replacement of Synchronous Belt
Synchronous belt of J5 axis shall be replaced every 11520h or 13year
(whichever comes first)

Replacement Process for Synchronous Belt of J5 Axis
Replacement as follows:
1.
Run the manipulator to the posture as shown in Table 13-5.
2.
Turn off the power of controller.
3.
Remove the manipulator cover plate and eight M4 screws as shown in

Loosen the adjusting screw of the synchronous belt.
5.
Remove the tension screw, then remove the J5 motor flange screw and
the belt wheel adjusting screw, and remove the M5 screw with an
external hexagon wrench, as shown in Figure 13-13.
6.
Reduce the distance between the two belt wheels, remove the old belt,
and then install the new belt, as shown in Figure 13-14.
7.
Initially tighten the screw M5 of motor base.
8.
Install the adjustment screw on the hexagon socket wrench, adjust the
synchronous belt to the appropriate tension, Synchronous band frequency
79-83Hz.
9.
Install the motor base screw M5 according to the specified torque.
