to
make
any
adjustments
to
reduce
latency
between
audio
and
video
•
Attach
the

to
the
back

your

ADVANCED:
Using
OPTICAL/SPDIF
Audio
Input
with
RIVACast
Optical
allows
higher
quality
audio
connections
with
reduced
latency,
but
could
transmit
lower
output
volume
to
the
Bluetooth
speaker.
To
connect
an
Optical
audio
(also
known
as
TOSLINK
or
S/PDIF)
to
the
RIVACast,
follow
the
instructions
above,
substituting
the
audio
cable
with
the
included
Optical
cable.
Find
the
Optical
audio
out
port
on
your
TV,
cable/streaming
box,
gaming
or
receiver
Connect
the
Optical
out
from
the
source
with
the
OPTICAL
IN
port
on
the
RIVACast
using
the
included
optical
cable
To
make
sure
that
RIVACast
works
with
your
audio
source,
please
make
the
following
adjustments
to
your
TV,
cable/streaming
box,
gaming,
or
receiver
before
using
it
with
RIVACast
In
the
device
audio
settings,
set
the
Optical
output
format
to
PCM
(instead
of
Bitstream)
If
that
option
is
not
available
(such
as
on
AppleTV),
look
for
options
to
disable
Dolby
Digital,
DTS
or
other
surround
sound
encoding.
The
RIVACast
is
not
able
to
decode
these
higher
resolution
surround
protocols
