Chapter 9 Award BIOS Setup

Your system supports five modes, numbered from 0 through 4, which
differ primarily in timing. When "Auto" is selected, the BIOS will
choose the best available mode.
The options are: Auto, (Default), Disabled.
Primary/Secondary Master/Slave Ultra DMA
DMA means Direct Memory Access. Ultra DMA is faster than DMA.
DMA is a method of transferring data to or from memory at a fast
rate, without involving the CPU.
When you select "Auto", the BIOS will choose the best available
mode.
The options are: Auto (Default), Disabled.
Onboard FDD Controller
When enabled, the floppy disk drive (FDD) controller is activated.
The options are: Enabled (Default), Disabled.
Onboard Serial Ports 1 & 2
If the serial ports use the onboard I/O controller, you can modify your
serial port address.
The options for Port 1 are: 3F8 (Default), 2E8, Disabled, 2F8, 3E8.
The options for Port 2 are: 2F8/IRQ3 (Default), 3E8/IRQ4, 2E8/IRQ3,
Disabled, 3F8/IRQ4.
Onboard Serial Ports 3 & 4
If the serial ports use the onboard I/O controller, you can modify your
serial port address.
The options for Port 3 are: 3E8 (Default), 2E8, 2F8, 3F8, Disabled.
The options for Port 4 are: 2E8 (Default), Disabled, 3E8, 2F8, 3F8.
Onboard Parallel Port
If the parallel port uses the onboard I/O controller, you can modify
your parallel port paramaters. When you select "Disabled", the next
two setup items will disappear.
