15.2.1.

Electrical connection of the DLT-V4108 to vehicles

DANGER

Danger to life due to electric shock.

−

Ground the DLT-V4108 in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer's instructions.

−

Observe the vehicle manufacturer’s instructions for connecting additional loads, for

example, in conjunction with an emergency shut-off switch.

−

Be sure that the connection of the power supply cables is as direct as possible to the

battery and not to power supply cables with a great deal of interference (e.g. the motor

power supply) or otherwise affected by consumers.

Electrical shock due to insufficient EMERGENCY shut-off of the vehicle.

If the EMERGENCY-OFF switch of the vehicle does not switch off the DLT-V4108, there is a

risk of electrical shock.

Install the DLT-V4108 and the EMERGENCY-OFF switch so that the DLT-V4108 also

switches off when the EMERGENCY-OFF switch is operated.

Observe

: If a DLT-V4108 with integrated UPS is installed in a vehicle, the EMERGENCY-OFF

switch of the vehicle has no effect on the DLT-V4108. This also applies to the peripherals

supplied by the device.
