one 478-pin ZIF (Zero Insertion Force) socket (Socket 478). The CPU must
come with an attached heat sink and CPU fan to prevent overheating.
The procedure of installing a CPU into ARK-7480 is detailed below, please
follow these steps carefully.
1. Remove the power cord.
2. Unscrew the four screws from the top cover of ARK-7480.
Warning!
The CPU may be damaged if operated without a heat
sink and if the fan is not connected to the CPU fan
power connector.
Caution!
Always disconnect the power cord from your ARK-
7480 Embedded Box Computer when you are work-
ing on it. Do not make connections while the power is
on as sensitive electronic components can be dam-
aged by the sudden rush of power. Only experienced
electronics personnel should open the ARK-7480
Embedded Box Computer.
